Bulging can appear as an uneven sealant surface while the cross-section looks solid after cutting.
One common cause is that the sealant has not cured to a sufficient depth before significant joint movement or deformation occurs.
This risk can increase with low temperature, low humidity, thick beads, or early exposure to stress/movement after application.
To reduce risk, follow the product TDS, ensure proper joint design, and avoid stressing the joint before adequate cure is achieved.
